LASTING EXPRESSIONS

"Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;" Ephesians 1:16
The Apostle Paul in writing to the church at Ephesus stated he always mentioned them in his prayer to God; thanking God on their behalf, but he showed in the previous verse what caused such fervent actions towards them on his part:
"Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints," Ephesians 1:15
He heard about their faith in the Lord Jesus and their love unto all the saints, this means they expressed their faith in the Lord Jesus with such intensity that people talked about it and the Apostle heard, their show of love for other believers was so tangible, that people saw it and talked about it.
These expressions of faith and love by the Ephesians church caused the Apostle to never cease praying for them, he was always giving thanks to God on their behalf because from what he had heard they were astonishing examples of the gospel.
Learn from them. Let your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all saints be tangible!

GOD'S WONDERFUL WAY III

13th, November 2019.

"But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." Exodus 14:16

When there is no way out, then a way can be created. At times an instruction can be given that seems implausible to the human mind but with divine insight, vocals and power, produces tremendous results.
In the main verse, the children of Isreal were 'stuck' literally between the devil's army and the deep blue sea, Moses had thought it was time for him to cry unto God and maybe God would destroy the Egyptians before they came close giving them enough time to build a big boat, being inspired by Noah (and fervently doing the word), but God had a better idea, that idea was made evident to Moses in his instruction, he told Moses to stretch his hand over the water and divide it.
What an instruction! There was no such example before then of anybody doing anything like that, the closest they had when it had to do with sea, river or flood was Noah and he built an ark for years, but God had a better idea.
When Moses stretched forth his hand, the sea split long enough for the children of Isreal to walk through and the Egyptians to walk in and be drowned.
Know this, no matter how much it seems like you are boxed in, there is a divine scissors and fire fixed on you that can cut you out of or burn any limitation, it is called the sword of the Spirit released with your tongue:
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword..." Hebrews 4:12
"And the tongue is a fire..." James 3:6
Speak, speak yourself out- you are victorious and unperturbed!

HUMBLE AND EXALTED III

23rd October, 2019

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:" 1 Peter 5:6

The main verse ends with a colon; he is going to give us an example of our being humble under the mighty God in the next verse:
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." 1 Peter 5:7
He says you are humble when you stop caring about yourself and cast all of your cares upon God because you do not know better than he does.
God has a plan for your life and when that plan is un-veiled to you, it is only wisdom that you plan along with him, so he is not talking about being lazy and having no plan for your life, he is saying stop worrying about things he alone can change!
It is pride to try to do God's work, he has shown you to use your faith, speak his word and give him thanks.
He says cast ALL your care upon him, your care about your job, school, family, health, money etc. Cast them all on him and rejoice because if God has them, a mira-cle would be produced. He cares for you and his caring is more than enough, don't disturb his caring by caring also, celebrate his care and his love by giving him thanks!
