So tell me, what exactly do you need a pen for anyway?
“Oh, to sign documents and write letters to clients”
Ahhh…So, what pen are you currently using?
“You know, just a regular Bic from Walmart!”
You mean, those cheap, plastic ones?…what caused you to wanna use that kind of pen?
“Well, because they’re cheap, cost effective…it’s just a pen.”
Yeah I suppose…ya know, I guess it all comes down to how you want your prospects or clients to view you...
So let me ask you, in your mind, how do you want your prospects to view you?

WOW!…yeah that makes sense…So how would they view you as having a high status or an expert by using the cheap plastic pens?

I recently received a comment from Taimed Savage on one of my posts.
It was a fictional conversation between a salesperson and someone who wasn't even aware they needed a pen, but had a problem that a pen could solve (cold audience).
The salesperson skillfully showed the person why they needed the pen, and also tapped into their emotional desire to be seen as important and expert.
This conversation illustrates a key principle:
✓ People Don't Just Buy Products, They Buy Emotions.
They Make Emotional Decisions, And Then Use Logic To Justify Those Decisions.
