We all hear it — when someone misbehaves or acts in a condescending way, people say, “this person wasn’t trained well.”

But if that’s true, how do some orphans still grow up with good manners and strong values? Many of them trained themselves the best way they could.

The truth is, when people start taking their lives into their own hands — when they take full responsibility and own up to their mistakes — no one will need to ask who trained you.

Because at the end of the day, good character isn’t only taught. It’s also chosen.
