A few years ago, while studying at Peter King’s College of Music, I ran into a new student in my hostel.

Someone called my name, and immediately she turned and asked,
“Wait… are The Princess?” 😳

I smiled and said, “Yes, I am.”

Then she said something that really caught me off guard!
“Solomon told me that when I get to PK, I should look for Princess. He said you’d be the one to guide me through what I need to know as a singer.” 🎶

For a moment, I was stunned. Like, Ah ah… shey na so I good reach? Or these people just dey hype me ni? 😂

But that was actually the second time in one week I was being referred to by new students.

A week later, that same student looked at me and said,
“Princess, I love your voice. I love the way you sound!” 🥺

I just smiled, blushing with STEEZE and composure 😎 because compliments are beautiful, but I don’t let them get to my head.

Why? Because growth never stops. 💪
In my singing journey, I’ve learned that being intentional about your SOUND is everything.
