🚨 “F@ke Palm Oil Wah@la!” — Lagos Govt Seals Shop Over Allegéd Adulterated Palm Oil ⚠️🛢️

The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has sealed a shop on Lagos Island over the allegéd sale of palm oil amid growing concerns about unsàfe food products in local markets. 🏪

According to the agency, some traders are reportedly mixing palm oil with h@rmful substances such as candle wax, dyes, chemicals, and impurities to boost profits, putting consumers at serious health r8sk. 🤢

LASCOPA wàrned residents to be extra careful when buying palm oil by checking for unusual colour, strange smell, excessive thickness, or suspicious sediments. The sealed shop was reportedly located along Idutafa Lane, Lagos Island.

The agency also urged Lagosians to buy from trusted sellers and report suspicious food products to authorities for investigation. ⚠️

⚖️ “Court No Gree!” — Judge Dismissés Suit Agàinst Ireti Kingibe, Slàms Plaintiffs With ₦10M Fine 🚨

A Federal High Court in Abuja has strûck out a lawsuit seeking to stop Senator Ireti Kingibe from participating in ADC activities, ruling that party suspénsion matters are internal issues that do not require court interference. 🏛️

The plaintiffs had accused the FCT senator of anti-party activities and wanted her barréd from meetings and party functions after her alléged suspénsion by Wuse Ward executives. However, the judge questioned why those who carried out the suspénsion were seeking court validation for their own decision. ⚖️

Justice Peter Lifu described the suit as frivolous and unfounded, ordering the plaintiffs to pay ₦10 million to Kingibe. He also fined their lawyer an additional ₦10 million for filing the case. 💰

The ruling has since sparked reactions online, with many debating party politics, internal democracy, and the court’s tóugh stance.
