VS code extensions to improve your productivity (For Beginners )

When I started using visual studio code, I installed every extension there is on visual studio code thinking that will make me a better developer.

If you are watching this video I am sure you have installed one or more vs code extensions, but for those who don't know what VS code extensions are, these are add-ons provided by a third party for you to archive some certain features that are not included into visual studio code itself.

I started using vs code in 2017, and I have learned a lot about this code editor since then. At first, I started with windows notepad, then I moved to sublime text, and a few months later I was introduced to visual studio code, which end up taking over everything coding for me. I found out that you can install an extension into vs code, then I installed the wrong extensions. We all make the mistake of adding up things that we don't need into our work tool, especially when they are free, our brain tells us that since we are not paying for it, then there is no harm. When I started using visual studio code, I installed every extension there is on visual studio code thinking that will make me a better developer.

Yeah, I was a vs code noob, total fact.

It was, unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way, vs code, start getting slower day after day, sometimes freezes and then crashes, and the more the extensions the more time vs code takes to load, I was frustrated, and it got me thinking maybe I need to change my laptop to a high-end laptop so vs code can run smoothly.

Alright, in this video I will show you the visual studio code extensions you need to improve your productivity when coding, all these extensions I have been using for years.

Since there are different types of extensions coming into vs code, promising you heaven in your code, it is tempting to start clicking on install - install - install until there is nothing to install anymore.

This is the fourth in the series of creating a Modern personal portfolio website from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. In this part four, we are going to be creating the portfolio section for the portfolio website.

If you just started the journey to becoming a website developer, it is quite hard to create your dream portfolio website. I remembered my time when starting to learn to code, I recreated my personal portfolio 4 times, hmm, it was so frustrating because the more I learn the more the portfolio sucks to me.

These are what we will accomplish in this series:
1. Create a modern portfolio website from scratch - step-by-step.
2. Upload the website to a server using Netlify for free.
3. Get a domain name for free and link it to our personal portfolio.
4. Collect contact messages from the portfolio using Netlify.
