ECO-BRICK SANITATION HUBS PROJECT: A SCHOOL, A COMMUNITY, AND A NEW POSSIBILITY
On Monday, Angel Support Foundation (ASF) visited RCM Primary School, Adaka, in Makurdi, Benue State, to begin conversations that could transform both the environment and the learning experience of hundreds of children, community leaders and members.
During the advocacy visit, teachers, pupils, community leaders and members, and church leaders gathered to learn how discarded plastic bottles can be transformed into eco-bricks and used to construct climate-resilient sanitation facilities.
What inspired us most was not just the enthusiasm for the project, but the willingness of the community to be part of the solution.
From students eager to protect their environment to community members pledging their support, everyone shared a common vision: a cleaner, healthier future for their children.
The Eco-Brick Sanitation Hubs Project is more than a construction project. It is a community-driven movement that tackles plastic pollution while improving access to safe, inclusive sanitation in underserved communities.
When communities lead, and partners support, sustainable change becomes possible.
This project is sponsored by Small Grants Programme, SGP, Global Environment Facility, GEF and UNDP in Nigeria

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2026: A FOOTBALL MATCH. A TREE. A PROMISE TO THE FUTURE.
Yesterday, young people in Makurdi proved that protecting the environment doesn't only happen in classrooms or conference halls, it happens on football fields, in communities, and through everyday actions.
To mark World Environment Day 2026, Angel Support Foundation, in partnership with ISEA - Initiative for Socioeconomic and Ecological Advancement, DevTrain Community and Entrepreneurship DeveIopment Initiative, GoGreen Environmental Health Sustainability Initiatives and Environment and Climate Change Amelioration Initiative - ECCAI, brought together young people for a day of action and awareness.

As teams competed for prizes on the field, they also learned about environmental protection, responsible waste management, climate resilience, and sustainable living.
Every tree planted represents hope.
Every young person engaged represents change.
Every action taken today helps build a cleaner, greener, and healthier tomorrow.
The future is not something we wait for, it is something we create together.
💚 Happy World Environment Day 2026!
