COMMENCEMENT OF SALE OF SUBSIDIZED FERTILIZER FOR THE 2026
RAINY SEASON IN KATSINA STATE
The Katsina State Community Development Programme (CDP) hereby announces to the
general public, particularly farmers across the 361 wards of Katsina State, the commencement
of the sale of fertilizer subsidized by the Katsina State Government for the 2026 rainy season.
The fertilizer will be sold at the subsidized rate of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000)
per bag.
Distribution has been structured across the three zones of the State as follows:
โข Local Governments under Katsina Zone: Each polling unit is allocated 50 bags.
โข โ Local Governments under Daura Zone: Each polling unit is allocated 45 bags.
โข โ Local Governments under Funtua Zone: Each polling unit is allocated 60 bags.
In addition, each ward has an allocation for 10 large-scale farmers, with each farmer entitled to 10 bags under this exercise.
All beneficiaries are expected to cooperate with Community Development Officers (CDOs),
Community Learning Officers (CLOs), and Community Support Officers (CSOs) during the
registration and distribution process. Beneficiaries must ensure that their names are correctly recorded using valid means of identification to avoid errors.
For transparency and public awareness, the list of beneficiaries for each ward will be displayed at the Community Development Centre (CLC) office in the respective wards.
Further information regarding distribution modalities will be communicated in due course.
The general public is advised to take advantage of this opportunity provided by the Katsina State Government to access subsidized fertilizer for improved agricultural productivity during
the 2026 farming season.
