THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX AND BE SUCCESSFUL

In 1969, the Swiss dominated the watch making industry. They held 65% of the world market and 80% of the profit. However something went wrong because 10yers later in 1979, their market share plummeted below 10% and they were forced to retrench 50,000 of its 65,000 workers.
Alas! Japan, which had no market share in this industry in 1968 came to take over. You can’t believe this. What changed the equation was the quartz watch invented by the Swiss themselves but rejected by their scientist because in their own thinking, they couldn’t see it as the watch of the future. As a result they didn’t patent and protect it.
In 1969, they presented this watch at the world congress of watches. All Texas instruments of America and Seiko of Japan needed to do was to take a good look and the rest today is history.

Never reject an idea because it’s unpopular or it has not been done before. To make it in life, you have to learn to think outside the box. We live in time when people are caged and imprisoned. WHY NOT ASK

The world does not know what you truly need until you ask. It will not give a place simply because you are born, it can only give you the place you demand for. It’s an illusion to assume that you will be given your due rights because you are here.
Asking is the road to getting what you want. Those who don’t only wallow in ignorance but they never received anything. Vast treasures have been unlocked and doors opened simply through asking.
Anthony Robbins said, “If you want to be great, ask great questions’. Questions determine the quality of our lives.’
“He who ask questions will never get lost”. You lose nothing by asking. The worst answer you will get is a “NO”. A “No” answer does not mean you will never have a ‘Yes’. Nobody likes being told “No’ it can be painful.
Don’t fear that you will have a “No’ for an answer. Fear rather, that you will never have a “Yes” if you keep youth mouth shut. Fear that opportunities will pass you by. Asking requires courage, confidence, humility, persistence and boldness.
What is important at the end of the day is, whether you have what you want. “He that asketh receiveth”.Don’t frustrate your dream by refusing to ask. If you don’t ask, someone else will.
Never rely on assumption or guess work. Remember assumption is the lowest level of knowledge. Never make allowance for the smallest ignorance. Wise men still ask questions.
