About:
The Africa Institute of Waste Management and Environmental Studies (AIWMES) is Africa's most prestigious, multi-disciplinary, non-profit association of experts, focusing on capacity development on Waste Management and Environmental Studies in both Public and Private sectors. It is becoming more evident that ecological security is the only answer for social security, human development and sustainable growth for marching towards a better tomorrow.
AIWMES supreme governing body also known as Council member is composed of the representatives of its member countries. The Institute has developed policies to raise stakeholder awareness on sustainable and inclusive professionalism and capacity development by holding seminars, workshops, symposia and other awareness raising activities across Africa.

The Institute has admitted members from all walks of life. We appreciate and welcome everyone wishing to be a registered member or inducted as a professional on waste management/environmental studies for the AIWMES licensing and certification. Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary umbrella that focuses on the social, political, economic, cultural and legal aspects surrounding environmental issues and concerns.

B.Sc, M.Sc, MPH, Ph.D., from a recognized University. A member of a recognized professional body. Working experience of not less than 15 years.
