He stressed that food production is contingent upon fuel availability. Magaji stated that without prompt action, farmers would face significant challenges, and food prices would escalate beyond Nigerians' purchasing power. He highlighted that the current energy crisis would inflate food production costs due to the use of petrol-powered engines for irrigation. Additionally, Magaji noted that transportation costs would increase, affecting commodity prices. He urged the government to maintain adequate petroleum supplies and regulate prices to ensure affordability. “Government should prioritize sufficient petroleum supply and implement interventions to keep prices affordable for the common man and farmers.”
