Part of the culture I promote as an alaga is my dressing and that of the family whose event I coordinate, the couple inclusive, so I ensure their dressing aligns with the culture I am representing. To make this easy for all parties involved, I sell accessories that complement their appearance, including shoes, jewelry, and aso-oke. In our current economy, I follow the Yoruba adage that says 'ona kan ko woja,' i.e., there are many entries to the market place, which actually means a source of income is not enough.
