The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Onyendu Nnamdi Kanu has through his spokes person Emma Powerful, cancelled indefinitely the long- standing sit-at-home order in the south-east. In a state made available to the press Emma Powerful said "All markets, schools, offices, transport services, and economic activities must resume fully and normally from tomorrow. The era of Monday sit-at-home is over,”
He furt her made it clear that anyone enforcing the sit-at-home order from Monday 9th of February 2026 is working against the intent of the IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu.
He that the IPOB leader has ordered a permanent end to the sit-at-home protest to allow Banks, schools, transport company to return to their businesses as it were before the commencement of the sit-at-home protest.
He further urged the people of the south-east to be vigilant of those who might want to go against the directive of the IPOB leader.
