Episode 1:

Chinaza sat across from Malik in a quiet Abuja café, her fingers nervously twisting the paper napkin in her lap. She wasn’t poor — just stuck. Her UK visa had been denied twice. Malik was her last option.

He slid a folder across the table.

“Here’s the agreement. One year. No intimacy. No questions about my past. After that, we divorce quietly. You get your papers. I move on. Deal?”

Chinaza looked at him. Malik was soft-spoken, polished, and had a sadness behind his eyes she couldn’t place. He wasn’t what she expected from a man offering a sham marriage for £10,000.

“What’s in it for you?” she asked.

He sipped his espresso slowly.

“Let’s just say… I owe someone.”

Then, she signed.
