Abia ADC Not Organising Congresses

The Abia State branch of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) informs the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), party members, wards, Local Government Areas (LGAs), State Executives, and the public that it is not involved in or organising any wards, LGAs, or State Congresses scheduled for 7th to 14th April 2026.

In addition to the Appeal Court's decision to uphold the status quo ante bellum, which led INEC to remove the Sen. David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) from its website and instruct its state officers not to oversee the supposed ADC State Congresses and National Convention, the current tenure of the Abia State ward, LGA, and State Executives remains in effect.

Therefore, party members, leaders, and stakeholders are urged to remain calm, stay positive, and promote the constructive message of ADC while refraining from acts that could disturb peace in their areas.

Rest assured, efforts are ongoing to revitalise the party and restore normalcy.
