The Divine Destiny of Man
Jacob Boehme, the German mystic and shoemaker of the 1500's was a man who so truly loved God and pressed deeply into God in intimacy.
One day he asked the Lord, " Lord, why have You made man?" He thoughts were like David who asked the Lord , 'What is Man that thou art mindful of him?"
The Lord replied to Jacob Boehme,
"I have made him to be a visible expression of Myself".
This will of the Lord is already begun to be fulfilled, when a generation of glorified beings shall emerge from the world without passing through death.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
