“Solutions work best when people lead the way.”

When Tunde, a social entrepreneur in Ibadan, set out to improve literacy among rural children, he realized that simply donating books wasn’t enough.

Using Human-Centred Design, he visited villages, spoke to teachers, and watched how children learned.

Together, they developed interactive learning kits that fit local languages and daily routines. Within months, reading engagement skyrocketed, and children began sharing knowledge with siblings and friends.
Takeaway: By designing with real people, not for them, solutions become meaningful, lasting, and truly transformative.
