*“Giving Up Is a Choice”*

Life often presents us with valleys, storms, and seasons where hope seems dim and strength feels gone. In those moments, the temptation to quit whispers loudly. Yet, Scripture reminds us that giving up is not forced upon us — it is a choice we either accept or reject.

The Apostle Paul declared: *“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”* (2 Corinthians 4:8–9). Notice his words: though beaten by life’s blows, he chose not to surrender to despair.

Quitting is never God’s instruction; perseverance is. Every harvest requires endurance, and fainting is what stops us from reaping. To faint is to give up; to endure is to step into promise.

Even our Lord Jesus, after escaping from the hands of the mob who wanted to stone him in Judaea, he said to his disciples, let us go into Judaea again (John 11: 7). He never gave up on his mission in Judaea even though there is great resistance.

Spiritually, giving up is agreeing with defeat before the victory arrives. It is yielding the battle before the war is finished. But the Spirit of God within us is not one of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). That means strength is already inside you — quitting is simply ignoring it.

So, when life presses you, remember: Giving up is a choice; holding on is also a choice. Your weariness is temporary; your reward is eternal.The God who began the good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Choose today not to quit. Choose to stand. Choose to believe. For those who endure to the end shall have the reward.

Prayer: In the name of Jesus, you have received strength, and you will not give up on your vision, goals, academics, pursuits, health, destiny.

Glory to God, it's another season for Him. Chill out just after the manifestation of God's power.
