: Legor Idagbo Steps Down For Jarigbe Agom In Senatorial Race (VIDEO)

Hon. Ochiglegor Idagbo, a former two term federal legislator, has announced his support for a former colleague, and third term lawmaker, Senator Jarigbe Agom, ending his race to become the Cross River North district Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2027 general elections.

"Yes, I had to step down so that we will support the President and others to win," Hon. Idagbo who served in the eight and ninth National Assembly as member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra federal constituency told Crossriverwatch via phone on Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Idagbo was seen as the third leg of the tripod of influential aspirants alongside Mr. Agom and former Cross River Governor, Senator Benedict Ayade.

Political pundits expected he will most likely defer to Mr. Ayade, since he was a Reps candidate in the 2023 elections with Mr. Ayade as Senatorial candidate, both on the platform of the APC.

CrossRiverWatch has since obtained a video of his announcement which shows several of his allies and Mr. Agom present, in what seems to be his residence in Bekwarra Local Government Area.

VIDEO: Ukpagada Bridge To Be Delivered In Four Months - Sen Jarigbe Agom

The Senator representing Cross River North district in the 10th National Assembly, Senator Jarigbe Agom says the Ukpagada Bridge, which he facilitated will be delivered between 90 to 120 days.

The three term federal lawmaker stated this on Thursday while visiting the site of the project in Ogoja Local Government Area for the first time since construction began about two years ago in the company of former federal legislator, Hon. Peter Igbodor and supporters.

A video obtained by Crossriverwatch shows a community leader commending the effort of the lawmaker and disclosing that communities have had to use canoes with the attendant risk to cross the river since 1967.
