'Don't Underrate Opposition, Mobilize For 2027 Now', Duke Warns Party Members

The Cross River State NDDC commissioner and APC chieftain, Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, PH.D, has called on members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Duke who made the call in a meeting with party faithfuls in Calabar South stressed that early and united canvassing would be key to ensuring APC sweeps all elective positions in the state.

He warned party stakeholders not to underrate the opposition but intensify canvassing, door-to-door engagement and community outreach for the party to emerge victorious in 2027.

According to him, Calabar South remains a critical bloc that can determine the party’s overall performance in Cross River State. Therefore, There is a need to put aside internal differences and focus on voter education, before the July 11 terminal date.

“Incase you don't know, we are already in the electioneering season, if we want all our candidates to win, then the work starts now. Every APC member in Calabar South must see themselves as a campaigner".

"We cannot sit down and say we are in power and that it will be an easy ride to victory, underrate the opposition and get ready for a shocker"

“The strength of the APC lies in our unity at the grassroots. We must canvass for the party and for every candidate on our platform, from the Presidency down to the House of Assembly. No one should be left behind, our target is 5 over 5”, Duke said.

He however encouraged youths and women in the area to take ownership of the party’s structure, noting that their involvement would boost voter turnout and consolidate APC’s support base ahead of 2027.
