Reminds me of this story in my childhood, a thief stole a chicken and was going to the market to sell it, as he passed by his friend’s house, Akpịrị-Ogologo appreciated the good looking chicken and wished him a great sale.

It wasn’t long he was returning and as he passed his friend’s house … his friend Akpịrị-Ogologo asked him how much he sold that good looking chicken.

He said he sold it how much he bought it. His friend didn’t understand how he won’t make profit from a chicken he sold and he sold it so fast. He told Akpịrị-Ogologo that his wife sent message that money was needed urgently at home so he sold to a willing buyer and is hurrying home, with that he left.

What he didn’t know was that his friend knew the owner and after examining the chicken told the owner that his missing chicken was on the way to be sold in the market.

The owner ran with his best friend to the market. At the market the friend priced the thief their chicken and the thief said how much he would buy, the real owner came and priced higher than the thief sold and his friend got angry and they started arguing over the chicken. The friend was like I have concluded with the seller and about to pay, the owner was like; but you’ve not paid I priced higher.

The thief wanted to satisfy both so he asked the friend give him the chicken that he would find a bigger one at the price he agreed to buy, he refused.
He asked the owner to follow him ao he can show him another chicken and he refused too… after much time was wasted he decided he would allow the friend hold the chicken while they go to another seller to buy another one so they can choose… as they were on the road, the friend with the stolen chicken disappeared leaving them confused when they reached as they didn’t find the man holding the chicken to be able to compare. So the real owner declined buying as he couldn’t be sure if he was cheated or not.
