EKWEOZOR FAMILY ATTENDS VIGIL MASS FOR LATE CYNTHIA CHUKWUNEKE

The Ekweozor family of Umuawulu, led by Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor (Rff), attended the requiem mass of Late Mrs. Cynthia Ngozi Chukwuneke (née Ekebere) at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Lekki, Lagos.

The bereaved husband, Mr. Chigozie Chukwuneke, is a nephew to Ide Umuawulu and a grandson of the late Mrs Christiana Onuabuchi Ekweozor (Asa Mboye).

The requiem mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Wisdom Chikezie, was marked by deep reflections on the teachings of Christ and words of encouragement to the grieving family, especially the husband. In his homily, he prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and urged the family to find solace in God, emphasizing that all things are subject to His will and divine purpose.

In his closing remarks, Ozo Dr. Ekweozor expressed appreciation to all who came to sympathize with the family. He prayed for God’s guidance and safe return for all attendees, and also commended the priests and choir for the solemn and uplifting service.

The liturgy featured hymns, praise and worship, Holy Communion, and offerings.

Ekweozor Declares for 2027 Reps Seat, promises inclusive Leadership for Awka North & South

Founder of the Ide Global Movement, Ozo Dr. Azubuike Augustine Ekweozor, Rff (Ide Umuawulu, Nwanayoeze), has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election for Awka North and South Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

The declaration ceremony, held at Hollywood Garden Event Centre, Awka, drew a large and diverse gathering of party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters from across all wards of the constituency, underscoring the growing grassroots acceptance of his candidacy.

In his address, Ide Umuawulu unveiled a bold Rescue Mission aimed at restoring quality representation, strengthening the bond between the people and governance, and delivering measurable development across Awka North and South. He emphasized that his aspiration is rooted in consultation, inclusion, and results-driven leadership, noting that the constituency possesses immense human and economic potential that must be strategically harnessed.

He further outlined key priorities of his mission to include youth empowerment, women-focused initiatives, economic expansion, and improved access to opportunities for all communities within the constituency. Drawing from his background in enterprise, philanthropy, and grassroots mobilization, he assured constituents of accessible, accountable, and impact-driven representation at the national level.

The declaration also witnessed strong endorsements from stakeholders. Speaking on behalf of diaspora supporters, Prince Paul Ogudo, leader of the Awka North and South Progressive Movement in England, described Ekweozor as a tested and capable leader whose emergence reflects the will of the people. Similarly, the President General of Building Materials International Market, Ogidi, Chief Jude Nwankwo (Ochendo Umuawulu), commended his consistent record of service and humanitarian impact, noting that his candidacy aligns with the people’s desire for credible and effective representation.

The event climaxed with a resounding voice vote by attendees, calling on the party leadership to support and endorse Ozo Dr. Ekweozor as the party’s candidate, signalling a strong and growing momentum behind his aspiration.
