🌟 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟲 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲! 
As we rally under this year’s theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” Australia’s 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 move couldn’t come at a better time. The country has just passed a groundbreaking law banning social media access for children under 16, with hefty fines of up to 𝗔$𝟱𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 $𝟯𝟮.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻) for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X that fail to enforce it.

This initiative aims to shield young minds from online harms such as cyberbullying, misinformation, and predatory behavior, ensuring a safer digital landscape where innovation thrives without compromising vulnerability, much like how we at 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗡𝗚 empower young Nigerians, teenagers especially, to interact responsibly online and build ethical tech solutions.

In a world where digital spaces can amplify gender-based violence through harassment and exploitation, this law echoes our call for accountability and protection, especially for girls navigating Nigeria’s vibrant yet challenging online communities. 
It’s a timely reminder that global efforts must prioritize safe tech environments to truly end GBV.
