This activity was part of the 16 Days of Activism and centered on the theme, "My Body, My Image and My Rights."
During the session, participants learnt how to identify digital violence, how to protect their privacy online, and how to report abuse and safeguard themselves and explored their rights under the Cybercrime Amendment Act 2024 and other relevant Nigerian laws.

No one should suffer in silence.
In this 16 Days of Activism, save these numbers and reach out if you or someone you know is experiencing gender-based violence.
Help is available.
LIRAD, in collaboration with Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, recently visited the Mpappe community to break down the VAPP Act in a simplified form, and to also sensitize the community on reporting channels for survivors and victims of gender based violence.
We focused on what the law says, the offences and consequences, the protections it offers, and how survivors of gender-based violence can access support and justice. Knowledge is a first step toward safety, and legal advocacy is how we at LIRAD, ensure no one faces violence alone.
