EFCC Arrests Former Minister of Power Saleh
Mamman
The economic and financial crimes commission EFCC has arrested the former minister of power who was recently convicted and sentenced to 75 years in prison over the diversion of N33.8 billion meant for the Zungeru and Mambilla hydroelectric power projects.
According to reports, Mamman, who was on the run, was arrested earlier this morning around 3:30 am in Kaduna State, along with two others who were protecting him. The house where he was arrested is currently being investigated.
Justice Omotosho, who delivered judgment in his corruption case, had ordered that Mamman's sentence run from the day he is arrested.
