The Bible says that you need to reckon yourself dead to sin. So, when you navigate through life and see sin everywhere, the reason sin cannot get to you is because you have reckoned yourself dead to it. That is the reckoning of faith. It is the acknowledgement of spiritual facts.

Most of us have not made that deliberate adjustment in the reckoning of faith, and that is why sin is still tormenting you, because you have kept the door open. You created accommodation for sin, and that is why it is still taking place in your life. There are some of us who have closed the door, burnt the door, and disposed of the key. In our minds, as we stand now, there is no accommodation for sin.

Reckon yourself indeed dead to sin. Reckon yourself according to the status of spiritual facts.

The state of reckoning brings you to a point in your mind where you know that the only reality left for you is the reality of God. It even makes it easier for you to hear God. Many of you have not reckoned yourselves alive unto God, and that is why, when it is time to hear God, a maze of confusion envelopes your mind.

There are dimensions in God that only men who are dead to sin can walk in. If your mind is still negotiating with sin, your spirit will struggle to align with the voice of God. The moment you come into the consciousness of your new identity in Christ, sin loses its grip over your life. You must stand daily in the reality of what Christ has done and declare boldly: “I am alive unto God, and dead to sin.”

Don’t just jump up and say that Abraham’s blessings are yours. Knowledge can turn your lonely estate around and cause you to rise to the point where you become an envy to the world. Don’t wait until your children start asking you where you were when God was blessing other people, when God was showing them the keys of accessing power through prayer and fasting.

Some of you, in your family, are the only ones who have risen, and it is causing you pain. But it is not the will of God for you to remain in that state. What if there is something you can know? What if there is something you need to do concerning value, relationships, and influence? Do you want to go to your grave knowing that you did not live an excellent life? The thing about the kingdom is that you can start at any level.

You are watching your children grow, celebrating their birthdays every month, with no corresponding growth in your own life. Don’t say it doesn’t matter, because a day will come when you will watch your children become something you never imagined.

God’s blessings are not accessed by assumption but by understanding kingdom principles and applying them consistently. When you grow in knowledge, build value, and align with divine principles, your life begins to reflect the excellence God intended. It is never too late to rise, what matters is that you start now and commit to growth.
