I woke up this morning with memories that I can't forget forever . I can't believe it's already up to a year and I managed to survive till now , then it felt like the end of my world .

My one regret is that she didn't stay to have a bite of my cakes and pastries , she didn't stay longer to where I will do something much better for her .

Do you that sifting your flour breaks up any lumps in the flour? This can help you get a more accurate measurement.

Sifted flour is much lighter and airer than unsifted flour and it is easier to mix into other ingredients when making batters and doughs .

So always take few minutes to sift your flour before using it .

Do you know that baking is a science in as much as we love being creative, it doesn't always work out and this is where many factors like measurements, quality of ingredients, oven temperature etc comes in .

For today , we will be talking about 4 basic methods in baking so that u don't end up with a disaster cake.

1). CREAMING
In this method, the butter and sugar are beaten together until they become pale and creamy, after which the eggs and dry ingredients will be added . This method is mostly done in sponge cake recipe

2). WHISKING
This method requires the wet mixture to be whisked in order to incorporate air and body . Whisking method cakes are way to go for people looking to eat less fat .

3). MELTING
This method tends to produce cakes that are moist and dense . Butter are usually melted before the eggs and dry ingredients are added and a raising agent like baking powder is the added to help raise the cake .

4). RUBBING IN
This method works with butter . You use your finger to mix the l and butter to create bread crumbs . This method is usually common in pastries like meat pie, chinchin etc.
