On December 27, 2025, I joined my sister and friend Zion Child (Chinonso Nwaogwugwu) at their 1995 Alumni reunion of Girls High School Umunolo Mbawesi, where I witnessed the inspiring sight of former classmates uniting to give back to the institution that played a pivotal role in shaping their lives. As part of this uplifting event, Benjamin Family Initiatives empowered the young girls with vital knowledge on menstrual hygiene and distributed exercise books to all students, promoting a culture of equality and education. We are honored to have collaborated with DGSS A*O PADA and JDSS A*O PADA in Nasssarawa State on December 5, 2025, to educate young girls on proper menstrual hygiene practices and donate free sanitary pads to over 300 girls of menstrual age. However, in the process, we identified an urgent need for infrastructure improvements. The school buildings are severely dilapidated and require immediate attention, as do the students' desks and chairs. Our hearts were broken, and we made a promise to return this year, 2026, to help raise funds to build new desks and possibly assist with renovations.
