📢 NAPWU Information Sharing Session – Government Park
NAPWU held an information-sharing session yesterday the 09 july 2026 ,at Government Park with employees from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform (MAFWLR).
The session focused on the ongoing Benchmarking Exercise and the GRN Job Evaluation and Grading Review, where members were briefed on the review process and the important role they play in ensuring their positions are accurately evaluated.
NAPWU urges all GRN employees to carefully review their Performance Agreements (PAMs) and identify any additional duties and responsibilities they perform that are not reflected in their current job descriptions. These should be submitted for consideration as part of the job evaluation process to ensure every role is fairly and accurately assessed.
Your contribution matters. Together, we can ensure that every responsibility is recognized and every employee is fairly graded.

📢 NAPWU UPDATE TO NBC EMPLOYEES 📢
Following yesterday's meeting with NBC Management, NAPWU today met with employees to provide feedback on the progress made regarding labour relations at NBC.
We are pleased to inform workers that NAPWU has successfully secured a new Recognition Agreement with NBC after a period of five years. This milestone strengthens the union's ability to represent and protect the interests of employees in the workplace.
The meeting provided workers with an opportunity to receive updates, ask questions, and discuss the way forward as NAPWU continues to advocate for improved working conditions, fair labour practices, and meaningful engagement with management.

📢 NAPWU SECURES ANOTHER VICTORY FOR WORKERS! ✊🏾⚖️
NAPWU is proud to announce a successful arbitration outcome in favour of one of our members against the Namibia Standards Institution (NSI).
The Labour Commissioner ruled that the member's dismissal was both substantively and procedurally unfair, and ordered compensation to be paid in lieu of reinstatement.
This outcome demonstrates that when workers stand together through NAPWU, unfair labour practices can be challenged and justice can prevail.
✅ Unfair dismissal declared unlawful
✅ Compensation awarded to the member
✅ Workers' rights upheld through due process.
At NAPWU, we remain committed to defending the rights, dignity, and fair treatment of all workers. This victory is a reminder that no worker should face injustice alone.
Join NAPWU today and be part of a union that delivers results.
