General Practitioner - GP

Alhamdulillah.
Today reminded me why I love teaching.

It wasn’t about mastering AI alone.
It wasn’t about Gemini or NotebookLM.
It was about seeing my beloved junior iCFRACGP, MinTFM, and Masters trainees sitting side by side ; learning together, sharing fears, exchanging strategies, and lifting each other’s spirits.

I had a very clear purpose in mind when I initiated this.
When we focus on differences, our vision shrinks.
But when we focus on togetherness, our hearts expand.

Different pathways.
Same dreams.
Same struggles.
Same hope — to pass, to grow, and to become better family physicians.

And that… is the sweetest reward of all........

Ya Allah, bless our efforts, unite our hearts, and grant success in this journey.

If any of you are interested in joining my troop to support our juniors for their upcoming exams, please PM me."

I remember sending this message to our JDT FAM.MED BUDDY support group just days after the final Part 2 exam results were announced last year. I waited anxiously, hoping that some of those who had just passed would step forward to volunteer.
Because I knew, I couldn’t do this alone.

And then, the replies started coming in.

"Dr. Wani, please count me in."
"Dr. Wani, I would love to help."
"Dr. Wani, I don't know if I can do it, but I would love to try."

My heart leaped.

Slowly, one by one, personal messages from volunteers trickled in. And the rest… is history.

These women are mothers, each juggling their own families, yet took up the challenge.
No monetary reward.
No allowances.
Just sheer kindness.

Yes, they did it out of kindness........................

To these kind souls,

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah.

The very people who PM’d me back then are now standing beside us, lining up as part of FMS JDT. This week, they attended their first FMS JDT technical meeting.
I had been counting the days to see them again.

I couldn’t afford to buy them expensive gifts, but I wanted to give them something. So I bought them humble chocolates as a token of my appreciation.
Yet, more than the chocolates, I found joy in writing small notes for each of them.

Because those words; they came straight from my heart.

Thank you.
