After eight unforgettable years, Merah Kitchen & Bar will be closing its doors before the end of January 2026. This decision comes with heavy hearts, but also with deep gratitude for the incredible journey we have shared with all of you.

To our friends, family, loyal customers, and everyone who has created memories within our walls, we warmly welcome you to drop by in the coming weeks. Let’s reconnect, reminisce, and recreate the moments that made Merah such a special place before we say goodbye.

Tonight is Christmas Eve, and tomorrow will be our very last Christmas at this premises. We would love for you to spend it with us. Join us as we celebrate one final festive season together, and come count down our last New Year’s Eve with us as well, a meaningful farewell to a place that has held so many stories.

Over the past eight years, we have weathered a pandemic, two elections, and major floods. Yet through every challenge, your support kept us going. We are honoured to have been part of countless weddings, photoshoots, albums, celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, gatherings, and life milestones. These memories are the true soul of Merah.

We are proud to be a multi–award-winning restaurant and bar, and even prouder of the talents we nurtured along the way — chefs and mixologists who grew from humble beginnings into industry leaders. From representing Malaysia on international stages to becoming celebrity chefs and award-winning mixologists, their journeys are our greatest achievement.

To our regular customers, suppliers, contractors, and our supportive landlord, our gratitude goes beyond words. Thank you for standing by us, believing in us, and making Merah Kitchen & Bar a home.

Due to a family medical situation, we have made the difficult decision to close this chapter so we can focus our time and resources where they are needed most. As we prepare to close in one month’s time, we do so with peace, knowing our talented team will continue to shine in their future paths and bring pride to Malaysia.

Merah Kitchen & Bar Update! 🍴🔥🍷

This week, our doors open a little later than usual, because our award-winning kitchen heroes, Chef Henry and Chef Jet, are in KL battling it out at the Malaysia International Culinary Competition! 🏆👨‍🍳👨‍🍳

So from now till Friday (26 Sept 2025), Merah will open 8 PM – 1 AM only (perfect for night owls 🦉 and late-night foodies 🍔✨).

But fear not come Saturday, 27 Sept 2025, it’s back to business as usual with full vibes, full flavors, and maybe even a victory story to spice up your meal. 🌶️🍲

Come hungry, come late, and cheer for our chefs as they cook up glory in KL! 🔥🍽️
