2023 Project Review Archive - On The Rocks, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat by Howard Tham

On The Rocks is a bar located in The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat, Ipoh. Offering panoramic views of the geothermal hot spring and towering limestone peaks from a 30-foot-high terrace; it’s the ideal spot to kick back with signature cocktails, gourmet pots of tea, and refreshing mocktails.

The logo is inspired by the bar’s elevated location atop a limestone peak and the classic whiskey served, “on the rocks”. It is split into two parts — the ice, and the mountain peak, capturing the essence of the brand while staying true to core identity.

Created from scratch by — the logo features a strong serif font and seamlessly blends the raw beauty of nature with the expertly crafted drinks the bar is known for.
