Lozano Lab

Last week, Dr. Luis Marcelo Lozano, leader of our research group, visited MIT.

It was an exciting and very productive week! We strengthened ongoing collaborations and started new ones with research groups working on advanced materials for health, energy, climate, and sustainability. 🌎⚡🧪

Dr. Lozano was also invited as a guest speaker in a workshop about turning research ideas into real-world solutions, from lab discoveries to technological developments and even spin-offs. He shared our group’s experience in building projects that combine strong science with real impact beyond the laboratory. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the graduate students were truly inspiring.

During the visit, he also learned more about MIT’s Climate Program, a powerful reminder that science and innovation must play a key role in addressing global challenges. The time to act is now.

To close the trip, he visited the Broad Institute and explored groundbreaking research in health, especially in cancer research, an amazing example of how science can directly improve lives.

This visit opens new opportunities for LozanoLab: stronger international collaborations, new high-impact projects, and more pathways for innovation. 🚀
