Today's Full Moon is rising in Sidereal Libra.

Libra is the sign of relationship, beauty, and balance — ruled by Venus.

When its energy is flowing, there's a natural harmony between inner and outer life. An ease. Things feel beautiful, connected, alive.

When it's off, the pendulum swings. You reach for balance and keep missing the middle. The restlessness, the scattered energy, the sense that something needs adjusting but you can't quite name what.

A Full Moon amplifies whatever it touches. So right now, that Libra energy is being turned all the way up — the beauty and the agitation, the harmony and the searching.

What yoga practice does on a Full Moon is take that amplified energy and give it somewhere real to go.

High in the Andes of Peru, at altitudes that seem to touch the heavens, live the Q’ero Nation 🌈⛰️

They carry a wisdom which reaches back beyond our known history. I always feel that to encounter such a culture is a tremendous blessing, and I did my best to soak up all that I could.

We had the great good fortune of opening our Immersion last week with the sacred Despacho ceremony, led by the extraordinary, Maria Apaza. She carries the exalted title of Altomisayoq, the last living high priestess of her kind.

Doña Maria Apaza (who will celebrate her 101st birthday this August!) became an Altomesayoq after being struck by lightning as a young woman. An Altomesayaq has a special communion with the spirit world, and an ability to gain access to places that most folks are unaware of.

I was deeply inspired by her and her families beautiful presence, exceptional warmth, and generous hearts.

Long live the Q’ero nation! The indigenous peoples of the world hold the wisdom that teaches how to thrive on this planet.
