The Lord has really stripped away independence and continues to do so. The world tells you to be independent, but in reality, we were never created to be this way. We were created for relationship with God. He is everything we will ever need. And when you try to do life on your own… In your own terms… You feel empty and unsatisfied because we were never created to be our own gods.

I used to think that I’d be able to do everything on my own, but that I needed nobody but the more I walk through life the more I realize the need I have for Jesus. The more I realize how Jesus sharpens us through friendships and relationships and that isolation is actually the fruit of pride due to forms of rejection.

Who is this mercy culture song that literally says ‘the more I know the more I love you.. the more that I know, the more I need you’ and as of lately, I’ve literally been feeling this more and more.
