Pretty Horses Rescue

UPDATE

Today marks exactly one week that Calafia and Twaca were stolen . I first wanted to THANK everyone for their support, their suggestions and to those who have been involved for their diligent efforts of sharing on FB, scouring the different areas or handing out flyers . I wanted to let you all know what has been done so far

1. Police reports have been filed in both Primo Tapia and Rosarito .

2. Flyers have been hand delivered to the military check points, every feed store, ma and pa store and all of the ranches from Tecate and the Valley

3. I have personally been to every JUNKyard in the area that are know to keep stolen horses as well as talked to every horse thieve in town. Making it clear "no questions asked I just want my horses back"....

4. I've visited Every horses slaughter facility in TJ and they've been informed to contact us if the horses come in .

I also want to take this time to clear up a few things 1. This was NOT an inside job. Ramon and Ivon who have worked for me for two years are honest and care for these horses too. I'd like to share a little about our two mares that were stolen. The man I bought/rescued Calafia from cared for her but did not have the means to feed her . She grew up in primo tapia and is known by all of the local community. She was thin when I got her but her natural beauty and large frame was always there. After some time of good hay and grain and a loving environment she has blossomed In to her full potential as a big beautiful lead mare that is full of life and energy but is also calm enough for the most novice rider. Calafia is a true gem of the horse And we need her back.

Twaca came to us from a dear friend who wanted her to be trained and loved as she has two horses of her own. When we got her she was young and a bit defiant as a green horse. But with patience and understanding by her and us she learned to be respectful and became a love. Daniel trained with her on the ground first and built up a mutual trust and respect. He rode her ba****ck for several months in the training arena. She was the. introduced to the saddle and before she was stolen Daniel was saddling her and riding her at a progressive level for a young 3 year old filly. The progress and growth of both of these lovely horses came from hours of love and relations and training. Thousands of dollars in food , vet bills and care.

The efforts to get my horses back will NOT LET UP . I don't think some people fully understand the impact this has had. But these horses are our family. Imagine losing a dog or car that you love. So Please keep us in your prayers. This is not easy BUT We will maintain a positive and hopeful heart of a safe return of our girls .........
