You've been working out, your diet is on point, but the number on the scale is not reflecting your efforts 🤔🤔

Don't focus on what your scale says.

Your scale measures everything, muscle, fat, bones, blood, connective tissue, what's in your bladder, what's in your bowels.

So when the number on the scale goes up, it could easily be because you drank more water today, or your muscle mass has increased, or maybe you did not have a bowel movement 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏽‍♀️

Focus instead on how you are feeling overall.

🔥Do you have more energy?
🔥Are you getting stronger, faster, and killing your workouts?
🔥Are you feeling more confident?
🔥Do your clothes feel better?
🔥Do you feel healthier?

That👆🏾 is how we measure the success of a workout program.

Take weekly progress pictures. When you have a visual, it is easier to see your progress!!

Because 80% of the work is in our diet!

I'm Working out like crazy but I'm not losing weight!!!!

If this is you then you might want to read on!!!

*Let's remember 20% of the work is in the gym and 80% is in the kitchen.
*If you're taking care of the 20% and forgetting the 80 then your effort will be in vain.

Basically this is how weight loss works:

*If you consistently eat less calories than what your body requires to maintain your current weight then you will lose weight.
* Conversely, if you consistently eat more calories than what your body requires to maintain your weight, then you will gain weight.

💥STEP 1: Calculate how many calories your body requires to maintain your weight?

(Body weight (kg))* 2.2 *14

e.g 75kg *2.2 *14 =2,310 maintenance calories.

*So if this person wanted to stay at 75kg they should eat 2,310 calories.
* If they want to gain they should eat more than this.
*To lose weight they should eat about 350 calories less than this:
2,310-350=1960

💥STEP 2: Download a calorie tracking app like Carbwise, Carb Manager, or Myfitnesspal

💥STEP 3: Calculate percentages for Carbs, Protein and Fats(I can provide this as part of your training)

💥STEP 4: Enter EVERYTHING that you eat into the tracking app. This is crucial as the app will tell you when you have had enough carbs, proteins, fats and total calories and that will help you stay under your maintenance calories.
