Position : Software Engineer (Odoo ERP)
Location : Lilongwe / Blantyre (May require travel for field support)

As Recruitment Machines, our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Engineer to design, implement, customize, and maintain an Odoo ERP system across the organization. The role is critical in ensuring all departments operate efficiently within a fully integrated system, driving automation, data accuracy, and real-time reporting. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with the ability to train users and enforce system adoption across teams.

Some of the responsibilities include; configuring Odoo modules (CRM, Accounting, Inventory, HR, Projects, Manufacturing), customizing workflows and system features, managing and cleaning data, training users and providing technical support, monitoring system performance, developing dashboards and reports, managing integrations and system security, and maintaining documentation and SOPs.

Key requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information systems or software engineering
• Minimum 2+ years experience in software development
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL
• Basic web development skills (HTML, CSS, XML)
• Experience with system integrations and automation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to train non-technical users
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
