My objective is to reintroduce this almost lost traditional art which is embedded in the history of Maldivian Arts and crafts, by recreating the ancient Lime Stone Carvings made by our ancestors. This art form ceased to exist as Maldivians stopped coral limestone (Hirigaa) mining, due to environmental issues like reef damage and erosion, so I use an alternative material to Coral limestone, artificial stones
