Yet, in the least developed countries this is a rare luxury. Contribute Water is a charity water. For every bottle YOU purchase, part of the revenue will go to our charity partner Pump Aid who specializes in water projects in Africa. Our Water is being sold at the same price range and quality as other brands but with one important difference; - every bottle sold brings clean water to Africa. Contr

Some further information about our project in the pre-school of Fanuwelo:

The time caregivers would spend collecting water can now be used to teach children lessons and prepare meals, and community members no longer have to travel long distances for water for domestic use.

75 children under the age of 5 are attending the pre-school and flourishing due to the presence of clean, safe water. They are able to wash their hands after using the toilet, and before and after eating food. This has led to reduced rates of diarrhoea and stunting, meaning children are now able to regularly attend school, in a healthy environment.
The lives of all at Fanuwelo pre-school and in the surrounding community have been transformed.

AWESOME UPDATE: We have finalized our fifth water pump project, this time in the pre-school in Fanuwelo, Malawi!!!

Some words from our charity partner Pump Aid:

Support from Contribute Water has helped to provide a water point, handwashing stations, hygiene behaviour change education and a kitchen garden at Fanuwelo pre-school.

Previously there was no water point at the pre-school. Instead caregivers would walk over 400 metres away, to a well used by a number of surrounding villages. There would be a long line, causing delays in the caregivers bringing water back to the pre-school.

The installation of a pump in 2019 has given the children, caregivers and surrounding community convenient access to a reliable source of clean, safe water.

More updates to follow :)

Remember the pre-school in Malolo where we built a water pump some time ago? We have now received an update from there that we are super proud to present in the coming posts.

The pre-school in Malolo now has 180 students with access to clean, safe water and toilets. Rates of diarrhea and water-borne diseases have reduced, leading to higher school attendance and children having the chance to thrive.

Education is the key to success and development in Malawi. For children to have access to education, they need to be healthy, but this was not previously the case at Malolo pre-school.

Our charity partner on the ground in Malawi, Pump Aid, also trained caregivers for the pre-school in hygiene education and sanitation so that they can teach children better hygienic behaviour such as handwashing before eating and after visiting the toilet and how to use the latrines.
