Team Cole

This photo was taken yesterday at the Shands Pediatric Dialysis Unit. Cole spent nearly three years there, 24 hours or more a week...sitting, getting his blood filtered as life saving treatment, not having any kidneys. He built friendships and he was treated like family by some of the finest nurses and doctors at Shands UF. As a nurse, you not only dedicate your life to serving others, but so much more! Lifting them up, being their shoulder to cry on, encouraging during discouraging times, giving hope, giving direction, checking and double checking, and doing all the other tasks of your job. This photo was taken yesterday, almost 2 years after receiving his life changing kidney transplant and such beautiful caring faces, loving my son...encouraging, giving hope, doing their job and so much more. Thank you Nurses for your dedication, your love, and your friendship ❤️ You are important, you're appreciated, and we celebrate you this Nurses Week!
