1954 Rom gets its first accordion and after only a week plays "Das alte Försterhaus" and "Der Wilddieb" without anyone teaching him.
1955 Rom becomes a student of the Conservatoir d'Accordéon of Professor AlbertMoes where he learns to play the accordion. By 1965 he receives 10 national diplomas, at the age of 16 he becomes European accordion champion and second in the world championshi
