‎Ganta City, Nimba County – As part of the “Say No to Drugs” anti-drug awareness parade in Ganta on Friday, the Mayor of Gompa, Samuel Saye Hardt, and the Chairman of the Gompa Business Association (GBA), Prince Howard, joined citizens, along with the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) and Liberia National Police (LNP) commanders, in a series of anti-drug actions.

‎The team visited several well-known ghettos in the city to sensitize drug users and abusers about the dangers of narcotics. During the operation, multiple ghettos and hideouts were dismantled and burned, as officials urged disadvantaged youths to leave the streets and return home.

‎Speaking during the exercise, organizers lamented that drug abuse has become a “nightmare” destroying an entire generation. They called for a holistic approach, urging all citizens to join the fight against harmful substances.
