Aml-MDA Business Update

AML has been contributing US $3.0 million annually for the counties in which its operates.

To date the company has paid $45 million towards this commitment. In response to citizens complaints that the funds were not benefitting the affected communities, AML convinced GoL that 20% if these funds should be managed directly by these communities.

Until now, the program as still been implemented.

In an effort to support National Government pillar programs, Arccelor Mittal through its Social Corporate Responsibilities has invested more than $7 million to refurbish the state go the art training facility in Yekepa, Nimba County.

Increasingly, more than 159 students have benefited from this training program. Recently, about 59 students graduated from the program in this year.

What a good way to adequately invest in human capital development. Liberia has relied on this investment so greatly.
