PPM Appoints 19 Members to Key Global and National Positions

The People’s Power Movement (PPM) has announced the appointment of 19 members to key positions within its Global (Diaspora) and National leadership structures.

According to a press statement issued by the Secretariat, the appointments follow weeks of consultations and internal discussions after the movement officially registered as a national political institution.

On the Global level, Abraham Doedeh was named Global Chairman (USA), with several vice chairs and secretaries appointed across the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Turkey, China, France, and Sweden.

At the National level in Liberia, Zinnah M. Benson was appointed Vice Chair for Planning and Projects, while Dianun S. Somah takes on Gender Affairs. Other appointments include positions in Legal Affairs, Program, Training and Education, and Mobilization.

PPM said the appointments are part of its effort to advance what it describes as a “pro-people” agenda focused on marginalized and underprivileged Liberians.

The movement also disclosed that more appointments are expected in the coming weeks.

The Secretariat encouraged Liberians at home and abroad to join the movement, noting that over 9,000 people have already registered through its online platform.
