ටයිල් තේරීමේ පොදු වැරදි 7ක් සහ ඒවා වළක්වා ගන්නේ කොහොමද ?

Tile තේරීමේ දී materials, finishes, sizes ගොඩක් තියෙන නිසා සමහර වෙලාවල් වලදී , අපට ගැළපෙනම Tile වර්ගය තේරීම confusing වෙන්න පුළුවන්. වැරදි කිහිපයක් නිසා design එකේ look එක, durability එක සහ lifespan එකට බලපෑමක් ඇතිවෙන්න වුනත් පුළුවන්.

අපි Tile තේරීමේදී කරන මූලික වැරදි 7 ක් තියෙනවා.

1. Long-Term Maintenance ගැන හිතන්නේ නැතිව තේරීම
Natural stone tiles luxury look එකක් දෙනවා , ඒත් regular sealing & maintenance අවශ්‍යයි.

Busy areas (kids bathroom, mudroom) වලට porcelain / ceramic වගේ low-maintenance options සුදුසුයි.

2. Scale & Proportion ignore කරන එක
Big tiles (2×4) small rooms වලට ගැලපෙන්නේ නැහැ.
Tiny tiles big spaces වල too busy look එකක් දෙනවා.

Space size එකට match වෙන tile size එක තෝරන්න.

3. Edge Detailing plan නොකරන එක
Tile edges (finishing) overall look එකට big impact එකක් දෙනවා.

Schluter trim, bullnose, pencil trim වගේ options කලින් plan කරන්න.

4. Layout plan එක වැරදිව කරන එක
Proper planning නැතිව tile layout එක botch වෙන්න පුළුවන්

Symmetry, alignment, plumbing positions, pattern planning—all important!

5. Samples test නොකරන එක
Lighting එක tiles color එක totally වෙනස් කරනවා 💡

Home එකේ actual lighting වලට අනුව tiles බලලා තෝරන්න.

6. Wrong Grout Color / Thickness තේරීම
Grout color එක design එකට huge effect එකක් දෙනවා!

Matching grout = clean seamless look
Contrast grout = pattern highlight

7. Enough material order නොකරන එක
👉 Always 10–20% extra order කරන්න (cuts, damage, variations සඳහා).
Especially custom / imported tiles වලදී වඩා වැදගත් වෙනවා.

ඉතින් අවසාන වශයෙන් 💡
හොඳ design එකක් build කරන්න නම් planning + right team එක (architect, builder, interior designer) අනිවාර්ය සාධකයක් වෙනවා.
