The Samachar Magazine commenced publication in 1998 during the presidency of Mr. Its first editor was Abdul Razak, popularly known as Memon Kavi. He was followed by Hameed Karim Bhoja under whose editorship Samachar became much more than a conventional news bulletin. Riyaz Sangani and Azeez Alimohamed.
