Around 300 Sri Lankan citizens were killed in easter bombings on April 21st of 2019. Today (21.04.23) marks the fourth commemoration of the Easter Sunday massacre.

Deshamanaya Mineka Wickramasinghe At the age of 87, the founder and President Emeritus of the Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL) Group has passed away.
In 2015, he retired from his post as Chairman of the CBL Group after over 48 years at the helm of the organisation he founded in 1968.
In 1967, Deshamanya Mineka Wickramasingha created a protein-enriched children's biscuit that became a statewide program with the Ministry of Education to reduce malnutrition in students. This marked the beginning of the CBL story.
The Sri Lankan government granted him the Deshamanya title, which is the second-highest national civil distinction, for his service to the country.
