📌 Update: Day 1 — April 21 Itinerary in Sri Lanka

We are filled with joy to share that we arrived safely in Sri Lanka! We landed at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, April 21 (Local Time), which corresponds to 7:30 PM on Monday, April 20 (Central US Time). Our hearts are full as we have already united with other venerable monks here, joining together in harmony for this mission.

We hope everyone can walk with us in spirit by following our updates and viewing the Live and Overview maps. Here is the itinerary for this historic first day:

📅 DAY 1 | TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2026

10:00 AM – Press Conference at Attanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya

11:00 AM – Lunch at Attanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya

12:00 PM – Proceed to Anuradhapura Sri Maha Bodhi

3:30 PM – Ceremony to receive the Certificate of the Sri Maha Bodhi sapling and a symbolic sapling from the Nayaka Thero

4:30 PM – Walking to Ruwanwelisaya Maha Stupa for a special event

6:00 PM – Departure to Dambulla

7:00 PM – Arrival and overnight stay at the Dambulla temple premises
