This program is funded largely by Division, with unions, conferences/missions and the in
dividual participants. CLAP program is operated with four intensive 17 days session over a period of two years. All participants were selected by the local unions/conferences/missions and took an English placement test to divide the group into classes for more effective instruction and learning. Since this is a serious attempt to accomplish our goals in a short time, participants are required to surrender gadgets to the coordinator. During the session only English is allowed in communication imposed. The day begins early with devotional. Devotional time provide opportunities for all participants to speak as worship leaders and speakers. Throughout the day, English classes based on the latest effective methods of learning English are structured to maximize the speaking, reading, listening and writing of English. The curriculum is designed by an expert from Newbold College, with years of experience teaching English as a second language. Classes are very interactive requiring the students to discuss, present and listen to interesting selections that are relevant to everyday life. In between sessions, participants are expected to be seriously engaged in reading, speaking and writing English on a daily basis through various assignments given. weekly report are sent to the CLAP Assistant - Coordinator with follow-up.
